Doggie Daycare and Overnight Boarding For Dogs & Birds
Now your dog has a place to go to run and play all day in our safe, controlled playground environment. Currently available to dogs of all ages that are non-aggressive and love to play, or just don't want to be alone all day, or while you are on vacation. We are a small home-based business and we do not accept tons of dogs. We cannot accept any dogs that display any type of aggression. We require that all dogs come for pre-screening prior to boarding and daycare. We also now require a 50% deposit when dropping off any dog for boarding and when making a reservation during peak boarding times. This deposit is non-refundable. We try and keep our intake small so we can spend quality, one-on-one time with each dog that visits us so that they forget that they are out of their element and away from familiar surroundings. We are NOT a kennel and that is why we are very very picky about who we allow to board with us. Dogs that bark constantly only upset the other boarders. Our facility is NOT chain link and cement, therefore dogs that are destructive and chew everything are not a good match for our facility. Each room is equipped with toddler beds and toys. This is where your dog will sleep.
Due to our insurance stipulations, we cannot provide daycare or boarding to any dog on the restricted breed list. We can however offer petsitting in your home for these types of dogs.

At Steve's Bark, Bath and Beyond we offer your dog the opportunity to socialize, have fun, get exercise, and help eliminate unwanted behaviors from spending too much time home alone. We do not have a huge facility so we limit the amount of dogs we care for and treat them like they are part of our family. They become part of our family while they are here, whether it be for the day, or for the winter.
Inside our home we have a dog room complete with dog beds, crates, cubbies and more so that your dog can choose where it wants to sleep, OR if you have a crate that your pet is accustomed to, we have a separate room that we can put their own crate in so that they can be sure that no one else will intrude on their territory. Small dogs, if completely housebroken and not destructive may reside in our home with us. If there are potty or barking issues or maybe your dog just would rather lounge alone, our new doggie bunk house is open and they can have their own luxury suite. There is no cement and chain link here. Your dog will have a clean room with fresh bedding and linoleum. An indoor playroom complete with tv and vcr is just outside their door. Disney movies play daily while a radio plays in the evening. Meals are private and snacks are offered as often as they wish. There are no doggie doors leading outside to chain link. Each dog is walked several times daily and also allowed alot of running time in our large fenced in yard. Your dog will not have a chance to be lonely. Our new agility course, provided by

http://www.rushcreekagility.com) is used to exercise the dogs and help to teach them new creative play. The activity depends on the age and ability of the dog.
Whether your dog be a social butterfly, or a shy introvert, we can make them feel right at home.
We do not house any dogs that show aggression.
Our yard is fenced in, and we also have an enclosed play area that is completely secure with a roof and a deck area so that if there is inclement weather, or if they need to go out after dark, nothing can get in and nothing can get out.
Our new Doggie Bunk House is now open. We have 5 new bunk rooms for your pets comfort. Whether you have your own bed or you would like to use one of ours, we have many options for you to choose from. Toddlers beds and elevated pet beds are just some of the choices. Watch for our new CAT ROOM!
The Thousand Islands Region is a wonderful place to visit and is an especially pet-friendly place. There are many things you can do with your pet, but there are times when you may want to visit the go-kart track or have an intimate dinner or maybe you might want to just get away from your "fur-kids" for a little while. We also have an hourly rate for those who only want to run errands or go to dinner. Many times you cannot leave a pet alone in the room or unattended at the campground. We are here for those of you who need us.
Rows of dog runs do not exist at Steve's Bark Bath and Beyond.There is no constant barking. We are already home so our canine boarders aren't left alone at 5pm. Our boarders enjoy our companionship and nurturing throughout the evening and all through the night. All of our canine guests enjoy a tremendous amount of freedom and pampering. Since we accept only a very limited number of boarders at one time instead of warehousing a large number of dogs, we are better able to focus our attention on the individual needs of each dog. We truly get attached to each and every dog that stays with us. As long time dog owners ourselves, we understand your desire to provide a comfortable and safe place for your dog while you are away. You want so much more for your dog than a 4x6 cage in a warehouse. You want your dog to stay where it is more like home and that is what we are all about.....the next best thing to home.
RATES:
Doggie Playcare:
$11.00 per day per dog $20 for two dogs.
$7.00 per day per dog $12 for two dogs.
(If your dog is in for grooming we only charge the half day rate if you need to leave them until the end of the day). Daycare hours outside of our regular business hours are charged by the hour. Prior appointments are necessary in advance.
There is no day care on the following holidays
- Christmas Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- New Years Day
Overnight Boarding:
1 dog $14.00 2 dogs (same family) $25.00
*Additional dogs are $10 per day per dog within the same household.
**Food provided at a charge of $1.00 per day per dog.
***A 50% deposit is required before leaving your pet. Balance is due upon return.
****We require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit when making reservations. You will be refunded a pro-rated amount, if we are able to fill your spot. We have waiting lists and cancelling at the last minute when there are people desperately seeking boarding is something we are trying to curb.
*****Holiday rates for Boarding are $5 per day extra for holiday boarding which includes the following days and weekends:
- New Years Eve and New Years Day
- Easter Sunday (the day)
- Memorial Day Weekend Including the Monday
- July 4th (the day)
- Labor Day Weekend Including the Monday
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
A non-refundable deposit is required for holiday bookings. You may pay by credit or debit card through our PayPal account. Please call us for more information about holiday stays.
Boarding and daycare rates are plus NYS sales tax.

Hourly rate:
$1.75 per hour for dogs under 30 pounds
$2.50 per hour for dogs over 30 pounds
Evening Hours (by availability only and after normal daycare hours end) until 9 p.m. then overnight rates kick in. Drop off prior to 9 a.m. is charge at the hourly rate.

BIRDS
We offer boarding for parrots in our home. You must provide caging and food. $10 per day. We have many years experience in caring and raising birds. We offer wing clipping for $10.
REQUIREMENTS BEFORE ATTENDING DAY CARE OR BOARDING:
To ensure the health and safety of both your pets or ours, we require that you provide proof of current vaccinations. We also encourage you to have your pet on a current flea/tick and heartworm prevention before attendance. Please make sure that your pet has been recently wormed for ALL worms. We do have outside, grassy play yards and bugs always lurk where dogs like to play. We do suggest that your pet have a Kennel Cough (Bordatella) vaccination prior to attendance. If you do not bring proof of vaccinations, we do require you to allow us to place a call to your vet to have them fax us a copy of your vaccination record.
